Help Cheryl Overcome Domestic Violence Trauma
My name is Cheryl Butts. I decided to start this go fund me account for myself in hopes to be able to get the much needed help for myself after going through the most traumatic experience ever in my life!
I was severely beaten by the person that said he loved me more than anyone in this world! Besides his son and granddaughter He is in jail at this time!
Not only do I have to deal with the mounting medical bills and the physical pain but I have to address the mental and emotional damage this has caused me! I only have Medicare since I’m disabled, so I have deductibles and copays for everything!
I never ever imagined that I would ever experience anything like this in my lifetime! God was definitely watching over me and I know how lucky I am to still be alive!
- I have several Doctors appointments coming up next week to address some of my issues. I suffered 5 broken ribs, I have lost the hearing in my left ear due to a ruptured ear drum, a broken nose, my face was split open from the corner of my mouth across my cheek, my esophagus is damaged which makes it painful to swallow and numerous deep and very painful bruises all over my body!
- I am a very strong and independent woman so it is going to be very hard for me to just lay around and heal the way I should, to heal properly. I’m going to have to enlist the help of others to do the physical things that need to be done to keep my home up.
- I will forever be reminded of this horrible experience every time I look in the mirror, the scar across my face will remind me, but it will also remind me of how lucky I am to be alive!
- I was so embarrassed to tell anyone about what happened to me, but I have faced it now!
- I am Cheryl Butts. I am a domestic violence survivor and I thank God that he wrapped his arms around me and saved my life!
