Help Cheryl Keep Up The Fight

My name is Colleen, little sister of Cheryl Kossaeth. I am deeply distraught and shocked that I would ever have to be writing something like this. Our family’s world has truly come crashing down. 

If you know Cheryl, she always has a smile and some sparkle to her, she LOVES glitter! However, she has been diagnosed with gastric cancer and it  definitely  feels like her whole life has been put on hold. 

At just 42 years of age she is a devoted wife and mother of 3 , that is heartbroken at the thought of the upcoming treatment. 

A little about her journey so far-
After having months of pain, weeks without being able to eat, many tests, invasive scopes, surgery and being misdiagnosed, she is currently still in the hospital. Cheryl is still waiting for the doctors to decide on a treatment plan, whether it be chemo, radiation, more surgery or any combination. She has been blessed to have an amazing surgeon that has come to San Antonio from MD Anderson in Houston. 

As a family we have rallied around her and many many prayers have gone up over these weeks. Although, her spirits are up and hope is still very much alive, she and her husband Duane are overcome with emotion when thinking about the medical bills and balancing their 3 children. 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your thoughts, prayers and donations.  The money raised will help with cost of traveling, medication for pain and any ongoing medical costs associated with beating cancer. Anything will help and is greatly appreciated.
