my name is Hope and for those of you who know me, know my mom is my very best friend. On January 1, 2024 my mom’s world changed for the worst. She woke up dizzy and bouncy and has chronic headaches. She was told she has vestibular migraine. Then was told she has mold in her body. After countless visits to the hospital, trial and error with medications, being forced to retire early and lose her benefits, being bedridden, can no longer drive, she cannot catch a break. Needless to say, she hasn’t gotten better and the only way to get her better is to try different treatment and medications that are so far out of budget. I’m being vulnerable with my family by going public with this news but I don’t know what else to do. People say it takes a village so I’m reaching out to anyone and everyone who can help. For those of you who know my mom, know how selfless and kind and amazing she is. Having to ask for help has been the hardest thing for her because she is a doer. And not only does she want to get better and be that doer again, but she wants to be a grandma to my newborn daughter. She wants her life back. You know when you get a bad headache it can sort of ruin your day? Or you get up too quickly and feel vertigo? This is how my mom has felt every day for almost 2 years straight but WORSE. Please help. Even one single dollar goes a long way. Thank you!
