Help Cherry Street Station Reopen
Donation protected
Cherry Street Station closed its doors after one final night of music and revelry on Sunday March 15th, 2020. The following day we awoke to news that all nonessential businesses were to remain closed indefinitely due to the worsening COVID-19 Pandemic. Over the past year we've anxiously awaited updates on the return of Bars and live music, and this week we finally got the news we've been waiting for: live music can resume and most other business restrictions will be lifted on May 19th including the restriction against the operation of Bars.
We are thrilled to open our doors again both as a Bar and Live Original Music Venue. However, being shuttered for over 13 months without income is a practically impossible situation for any business, and many haven't survived. We've managed to stay afloat for the past year but there's a long list of expenses associated with reopening: utilities, inventory, equipment maintenance/repairs, licensing, administrative fees, property maintenance, etc.
So we humbly ask for your help.
Our goal is to reopen by Memorial Day weekend. All donations will go directly towards completing the necessary work, inspections, etc. in this short window of time so that we can make the most of the remaining Spring 2021 season. With your help, we will be able to achieve this goal and once again welcome you in to enjoy your favorite beverages, original live music, and good times with friends.
I set up this GoFundMe on behalf of the owner, Dennis, who is humbled by the outpouring of well wishes over the past year and deeply grateful for your support. We miss you all so very much and thank you in advance for your generosity in helping us keep our venue, our passion, alive.
