Help Cherine Beat Stage 4 Breast Cancer

Donation protected
Never in a million years did I think I’d be setting up a Go Fund Me!! NEVER!! I never thought I’d be dealing with a Stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis at the age of 38, but here we are ‍.

On April 18, 2022, I received the worst news that I have stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. After extensive testing, many biopsies, MRI scans, CT scans and PET scans, I received the information on May 5, 2022, that cancer had metastasized. The tumors metastasized from my breast  to my right underarm lymph nodes, thoracic spine L4 and L5, and upper right lung; now, the cancer is considered Stage 4. As of June 5, 2022, I was placed on Hospice care. Being placed in Hospice is one of the most heartbreaking and scary situations. Regardless of the diagnosis, I knew I had to trust God and my faith wholeheartedly.

I would first like to ask that all of you pray for my family and me as I begin treatments in the next week. Specifically, pray that I respond well and can continue the difficult treatment plans in front of me. Pray for my family as we continue to trust the Lord and lean on Him for guidance and wisdom these next several months.

I am a Southern California native and Physicians Liaison for the UCLA Oncology department. I have three amazing boys and a husband,  that  am fighting so hard to survive for. When you’re diagnosed like this, you’ll throw anything and everything at it to survive, so you can continue to watch your children grow and love one grow.

As my out-of-pocket expenses for extensive cancer treatments, nutritionists, therapies, traveling, Hospice, and childcare, I have quickly learned that insurance and my loss of income alone won’t begin to keep pace with today’s cost of care and living. Cancer treatment is outrageously expensive. Regardless, every donation amount makes a difference and helps alleviate the burden that seems to hang as heavily more days than the disease itself.

In closing, I want to thank every person who thinks of me or prays for me or donates towards this fundraiser, my fundraiser. With your help, I can put my health and my family first.

The marathon continues because I will not give up! I am resilient; with your help, I will beat cancer and heal my body. I refuse to let cancer steal my joy and smile.
