Hi everyone, My name is Mandy, and I’m asking for help for my mom, Cherie. Over the past year, my mom has gone through two back-to-back life-saving surgeries, including a major gastrointestinal surgery and a triple bypass. It has been a scary and overwhelming time for our family, and her recovery has been long. Because of this, she has been unable to return to work and has been living on Social Security. Right now, we are facing something very urgent. My mom is behind on her property taxes, and if they are not paid within the next 24 hours, her home could go to tax sale. This home means everything to her. It was built by her father and holds a lifetime of family memories. It’s where she has been trying to heal, and where so much of our family’s life has taken place. The thought of her losing it after everything she has already endured is incredibly painful. As much as it’s difficult to say, with the restaurant struggling through this economy too we aren't in a great position to help. We are doing everything we can, but we need help to get her through this immediate deadline. If you are able to donate, even a small amount would mean more than we can express.
