On April 3, 2025, my mother, Cherie Sandor, experienced a life-altering moment when she suffered an unexpected brain aneurysm. She had just gotten home from work when she suddenly developed a severe headache and started throwing up. She was rushed to the hospital where she was admitted and had to undergo two emergency surgeries. The first surgery was not successful, and the doctors had to rush her into a second surgery. My mother had one seizure and two strokes, and she also had to have a drain inserted in her head to remove any blood and spinal fluid off of her brain. Due to the severity of her condition, my mother will remain in the ICU and hospital for several weeks to allow her body to heal from the trauma that she endured. She will require extensive rehabilitation and therapy in the coming months to learn how to walk again.

My mother, a single mother, is the sole provider for all the household bills and for my little sister who’s full-time in college so she can get an education. This has been really hard on us, and we are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts and hope, asking for support for my mother, Cherie Sandor.
