Help Cheri Fight and WIN Stage 4 Colon Cancer

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Dani Patterson. On October 7th, 2024, my mom, Cheri Garcia was officially diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Although this diagnosis came along with many tears and what-ifs, we have refused to let the Devil in and are ready for the fight of her life.

Mom grew up in the Greater Tulsa area. From here she married my dad, Danny Garcia and they bought their first home in Catoosa, Oklahoma in the late 1980s--this is where they have chosen to remain ever since. As a kid, I grew up with Mom being present in every facet of my life. She is a cosmetologist by trade and was blessed enough to make her own hours. Therefore she ended up being mine and Chera's substitute teacher, cheer coach and lead woman in getting each of us to where we needed to be. Almost omnipresent.

Fast forward to mine and Chera's adulthood. Mom is our best friend. She's my kids' second mom, hands down and the sole reason why I have chosen to be just as involved in my children's lives as she was in mine. She has been present at almost all of their basketball, softball, football and soccer games (going on 8 years now)--while being the most loud and as some would describe, OBNOXIOUS fan in the stands. IYKYK. She has become "Gma" to many of her grandkids' friends. She loves each and every one of them like they are her own. She has touched numerous lives through doing hair with her vibrant, bubbly personality. Many of them becoming lifelong friends. She's always been a great listener with even better advice. She's been the shoulder people lean on and the rock in their storms.

Today, and for many days to come she needs US to be her rock this time. As we travel down this rugged path, Mom will be (and has been) out of work. Being self-employed means she has no income. She will be on chemo for the foreseeable future which amounts to many hard days ahead. We will also be traveling to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas in order to provide her with the best treatment in the country. Along with traditional medicine, I am hoping to lessen the affects of chemo as much as possible with additional alternative treatments. All of this costs a pretty penny.

That's where YOU come in. If you know Mom at all, you know it’s hard for her to accept help. She’s used to being the one helping. I have had numerous ~amazing~ individuals come to me asking how they can do just that though. Prayers are HUGE. Huge, huge. But I'm hearing, "What else can we do?" So there’s this. You can help us save my mom's life by donating. So she can have many more days ahead sitting in the stands, being all of our kids' loudest fan. So she can travel with us and make so many more unforgettable memories. So she can grow old with my dad at the lake. So she can spread her unbelievable testimony of how God saved her from her Stage 4 Cancer diagnosis with the outpouring support of her friends, family, and those that we have yet to meet.

Please consider donating. No amount is too small. $10 pays for a meal, a dosage of much needed supplements, entry into a basketball game, the list goes on. Help Mom get the help she so desperately needs and to enjoy her life as much as possible as she traverses the unimaginable. Please also continue to pray, pray, pray. Always be the light and never give up. THANK YOU!
