HI, my name is Elisa. Friend Cheri Tamman, a long-time resident of Everson, Washington experienced a home fire that started in her garage on November 1, 2024. Fortunately, her family, consisting of several generations living together were able to get out safely and the local fire department had a quick response.
On the down side, Cheri does not have current home insurance coverage and the damage includes materials and equipment for two family businesses: one a recording studio and the other being a candle-making business about to launch for the Christmas market. (In addition to recording, her son's computer equipment is also used for graphic design work but it has to be replaced.)
The home itself was blasted by water to put out the fire and now that is underway-- and the hope to prevent mold. At this early stage it isn't clear all of the restoration needed both in the garage, where the fire started, and into the house.
The American Red Cross has put the family up for a few days in a hotel but this situation has set them back. It is still the early stages and she and her family are finding what they need to do next -- step by step. Cheri loves her community and it would be nice for the community to show some love back by helping replace items that can be replaced.
Cheri appreciates her community and the fire personnel. Friends of Cheri can certainly offer to help in other ways as well as the financial component.
A few of the actual items:
Computer/Studio Equipment: $10,000
Home: unknown to restore damage - fire and water
Candle Business: $5,000 in supplies
