Help Cheng beat cancer

I am helping to fundraise for the medical fees of my friend’s grandma who is currently undergoing cancer treatment in Taiwan.

Fidelia’s grandma, Cheng, is currently battling with a rare form of cancer - Salivary Gland Cancer Stage 3. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment and it pains our hearts to see her having to undergo this battle at the age of 75 years old.

Cheng is a strong and independent woman. At the age of 32 years old, her husband abandoned her and their children, leaving her to raise 4 children (as young as 1 month old) alone. She subsequently had to work overseas, as the sole breadwinner, to financially support her children. Due to her work, she had to leave her children under the care of her sister and could not always be with them. It was not until about 20 years later that she could finally reunite and live together with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It has only been 12 years since they reunited and sadly in July 2022, she was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer.

Before her cancer diagnosis, she used to live a very active lifestyle. She is multi-talented, adept in many things and is always constantly learning new things. She can whip up delicious dishes and make various kinds of baked goods. She can also crochet and even ride a motorbike at such an old age. It pains our hearts to see her not being able to do all these things due to her battle with cancer.

She now hopes to get better and recover, so that she can continue to spend time with her beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and do the things that she loves. However, the funds raised by her family for her medical fees are currently running low as the cost of treatment/series of check-ups turns out to be much higher than expected. The COVID-19 pandemic has also affected the livelihood of her family and they have used up all of their savings for her medical treatment.

All funds raised will be transferred to Fidelia's mother who will use it to pay for Cheng’s chemotherapy, immunotherapy and check-ups.
