Dear Honorable donors:
It’s going to be a long text, but I beg you to read it and I will explain the situation.
My name is Chen, and I am currently a classical opera performance student.
I don’t come from a rich family. My family in China is economically exhausted because they are just regular workers and because I’m the first one who got into university, and also the first musician, they decided to do their best to support me. But we are economically exhausted now and both of my parents needs surgery. My father did a several already and the situation is not optimistic, in other words, I am losing my father. Me annd my parents economic situation changed hugely because now my mother will also have to stay in hospital and have surgery. And both of them are retired. My mother’s retirement monthly income is only 2000RMB( 281 USD) and my father will not get his retirement monthly income until 5 years later. So my family’s monthly income is only 281 dollars, but we still have to pay debt to bank monthly and that’s going to be definitely more than that.
We now have to sell our apartment in order to pay the debt in bank and also to survive . I didn’t want my parents to suffer more so I decided to work and go out to ask for money in China during 2024. Thanks to the people and God, I ended up borrowing 40000RMBs(5644 US dollars) for my parents, as a base for two years’ renting money, in order for them to not to worry about finding a place to live.
Before my father’s situation got worse and before I know my mother have to have surgery, my budget was still good. But after these happened, besides that 4000 dollars for the base of two year rent, I gave majority of my savings to my parents to make sure they won’t be worry about things after surgery and I bought an early flight ticket to China to be there for them in Winter. And unfortunately, now for my master degree, I’m really at the end of one's rope on budget. I paid my health insurance in order to continue next semester, and after that I got really nothing left. I will still have to provide for my parents and also for my living in US. I beg you to help with my parents’ situation and help me with the rent, food, transportation and utilities here in US and also flight tickets for me to go back to China in order to take care of both my parents during the coming year.
And I will not just waiting people to give me money and do nothing. I will also do my best to do multiple part time jobs in order to get more extra money. I will have my SSN meeting in January.
