Chemchemi Nexus, led by Kĩriakũ wa Kĩnyua, is building something truly special: worship music that feels like home. Growing up, most worship songs sounded like they came from somewhere else—another country, another accent. Beautiful, but not quite ours. So Chemchemi Nexus created Jabari featuring Asubuhi, blending Gĩkũyũ, Kiswahili, and English with the sounds that shaped us: Mugithi accordion, Taarab strings, Rhumba guitars, and roots reggae. Now, they’re working on TWO ROADS, an EP that brings Psalm 1 to life in all three languages. The first single, "Planted," is already out. Next up are "Heri" in Kiswahili and "Mũtĩ wa Rũũĩ" in Gĩkũyũ—three songs, three languages, one Psalm, for three sides of one people.

But finishing this project takes more than heart. Mixing, mastering, video production, and native Gĩkũyũ language review are essential to make sure every word rings true. Cover art, distribution, and playlist push will help the music reach the diaspora who have been asking for exactly this. Chemchemi Nexus has carried the project as far as possible alone, but now they need your help.
