About 3 weeks ago me and my mom found out she had a tumor on her lung, we went to the oncologist about one day after she found out about the tumor and we got the most heartbreaking news we could receive. It had already progressed to her liver, which we found was riddled with cancer (stage 4) we had set up multiple doctors appointments including MRI'S, Petscan's, lab's, and a biopsy to try to find out what kind of cancer we we're dealing with. By the next week she was getting worse and they scheduled the biopsy sooner which we found on the 27th that it had progressed more and that it was the second fastest growing cancers. The oncology department wanted to start her on chemotherapy that day so we did. By her 3rd day on chemo her oxygen levels dropped too low so she was admitted to the ICU. I got a call at 4:44 AM saying she needed to be intabated and put on the ventilator, I went up that morning to only hear the worse, she was on her deathbed. She had caught an infection which led to phnemounia and since the chemotherapy was doing what it was supposed to she continued to not be able to fight the infection off, which ultimately led to her kidneys shutting down. I had so much hope for a medical miracle during this time I barely had the time to realize I was losing my mom. I had two more days with her before I had to make the hardest decision I've ever had to make in my life which was to take her off the ventilator,  she passed shortly after I made the call to do that which was on June 2nd.. I never anticipated this to happen so soon or for me to not really know where to begin, or to get the chance to even have a discussion fully about what to do if this happened. I've never really been one to ask for money but knowing my mom was a devoted catholic its my goal to respect her final wishes and bury her so she may rest in peace.
