A Heartbreaking Loss in Our Community
It is with deep sorrow that we share the tragic news of the passing of a beloved Chelsea father on May 5th, the sole guardian and provider for my three siblings: Juliana Febo Sanchez (age 17), Evelyn Febo Sanchez (age 15), and Ezequiel Febo Sanchez Jr (age 14.)
Our mom, Jessica Sanchez, has been hospitalized and is in lifetime hospice care leaving my three siblings orphaned. With limited extended family support and no stable adult able to take them in, their future is uncertain but what remains strong is the love and connection they’ve built with our community.
These children have lived in Chelsea their entire lives attending Chelsea Public Schools and engaging in programs such as La Colaborativa’s youth employment, academic support, and community events. Their father, despite having limited income, was deeply committed a consistent and loving presence at every school meeting, youth program, and milestone in their lives.
We are calling on our municipal leaders, local nonprofits, and community partners:
Now is the time to show up. My siblings are navigating unimaginable loss and urgently need stability, care, and collective support.
If you or your organization can help in any way with mentorship, legal support, or other resources please reach out.
Chelsea has always rallied in hard times. Let’s come together once more for Juliana, Evelyn, and Ezequiel.
God bless
