Help Chelsea B. & Her Family Rebuild After a House Fire

On December 28, 2025, Chelsea B. and her family experienced a devastating house fire that destroyed the home they were renting in Ocean Park, WA. The fire department has declared the home a total loss.

Chelsea, her two sons (ages 25 and 17), her brother, and their two dogs were all displaced. They were able to escape safely thanks to their dogs alerting them to the fire, but they lost everything except the clothes they were wearing.

Chelsea is currently staying at a local hotel that has generously gifted her a few nights, and the Red Cross is assisting with locating additional temporary housing. With no renter’s insurance, there is no insurance coverage to help replace what was lost.

Chelsea is a member of the local hospitality community, working as a server at The Cove, where she is known for her warmth and kindness. She continues to show up for work even while navigating the overwhelming reality of starting over from nothing.
