Help Chelsea Save Amy's Heart

We’re just two sisters trying our best to save a little heart ❤️

My name is Chelsea and this page is for my little spaniel, Amy, and we are intent on raising money for her heart surgery. We very recently learned that she has a defective mitral valve in her heart that is causing her heart to fail. She is in the beginning stages of congestive heart failure and her cardiologist told us that with just medication alone, the average survival time is 18-24 months. Amy is 7 years old and her breed has an average lifespan of 15 years so Amy is still young, she has half of her life still to live!

Luckily, there are surgery options to repair her mitral valve. This surgery will fix/repair her malfunctioning heart valve and give her potentially 8-10 more years with a great quality of life and no medication. She will essentially get to live a normal, long life if her mitral valve is repaired.

We know it’s a lot of money but we are committed to doing this for her and we will do whatever it takes to make this happen. She is a good candidate for it and is otherwise healthy and young, so the only reason to not have the surgery is because of money. We refuse to think that the only reason Amy does not get to live out her potential lifespan as a happy, loved, and healthy dog is because of money alone. It is unthinkable to me to not try my absolute best for her.
