My Story
I am a Louisiana girl named Chelsea Black and my dream is to do my part in contuining the stunning tradition of stained glass art. I was first introduced to the art of glass as a young child alongside my talented mother in our home studio. My experience and confidence grew immensely during my apprenticeship at the Six Dimension Design stained glass studio in Buffalo, NY alongside the incredible artist Jim Sawyer.
I am now pursuing a life of spreading light through the art of stained glass while living in Austin, Texas.
The Good News!!
I have been selected to attend a session at the Pilchuck Glass School, headed by Dale Chihuly- a world renowned glass artist. The session I have been selected for begins June 20th, 2017 and all funds are due by May 1, 2017.

The importance of learning from masters is invaluable, the opportunity to push myself far past my comfort zone and my current understanding will be life changing and eye opening, and the ability for the world of glass art to blossom up to me through meeting and working alongside other glass artists would forever enhance my process.
How You Can Help
It is difficult and scary sometimes to pursue dreams, but I am here to ask for emotional and financial support in this endeavor.
I promise to give myself fully to this experience, to continue to spread light and positivity through my work, and to honor this opportunity with every ounce of me.
