Chelsea Figueroa is doing something incredibly brave. After enduring a mentally & physically abusive relationship in Chicago, she has made the difficult—and life-saving—decision to leave. She is fleeing not just a relationship, but a situation that has put her safety and her life at risk. No one plans to start over like this. No one imagines having to quietly pack up their belongings, make a safety plan, and leave everything familiar behind just to survive. But Chelsea is choosing courage. She is choosing safety. She is choosing a new beginning.
If you know Chelsea, you know she is not someone who asks for help. She is a cornerstone in the Jeep community—the one who shows up, who helps others on the trail, who organizes, supports, encourages, and gives her time freely. She has been there for so many people in moments of need, offering both practical help and genuine heart. Now, she needs us.
Home for Chelsea is Phoenix—where she has support, familiarity, and the chance to rebuild her life surrounded by people who care about her. But escaping an abusive situation comes with unexpected and overwhelming financial burdens: emergency travel expenses, moving and shipping costs, first month’s rent and deposit, basic living essentials, legal and safety-related expenses, and lost income during the transition. When someone leaves abuse, they often leave with very little. Starting over means starting from scratch.
This fundraiser will help Chelsea safely relocate from Chicago back to Phoenix and give her the stability she needs to heal and rebuild. Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping her secure housing, transportation, and basic necessities so she can focus on recovery and creating a future free from fear. Chelsea has helped so many people in the Jeep community. Let’s rally around her now and help her.
