Help Chelsea and Michael
Hello everyone.
I am in search of some ideas for my husband's last wishes. We have been living at the hospital (and me in the car on and off during lockdown) for the last 5 weeks after he suffered acute multiple organ failure. I have spent a lot of time and effort to get the home ready when they told us he had about a month to live.
I was ready to bring him home (that's all he wanted) yesterday but a couple days prior he started going downhill and became to unwell for his regular dialysis and now they will not let him come home. I was so close. He really doesn't want to die in hospital so I'm pushing to get him to Katie Rose asap if they are available.
The help I need now is he had always asked to be buried not cremated. This is quite over our budget from what it seems. We won't be having a funeral or anything traditional, was hoping for just a pine Box and laying him to rest somewhere in nature near a tree, then a small gathering at our place similar to what we did for our wedding. Is there anywhere on the coast this would be possible? I really wish I owned a big property right now. I'm finding this all extra stuff overwhelming.
It is our wedding anniversary in 8 days and it will be likely he won't make until then. There are not really any words that accurately describe the level of sadness and devastation I am going through at the moment. I would really appreciate any tips or help.
Any support would be greatly appreciated in our time of need.
Thanks for your help.
Chelsea Hunter.
