Help Chelsea and her mom raise money to lay Brittany to rest

A visitation will be held Sunday, April 28th from 4-8pm at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S Dobson Rd. Mesa, AZ 85202

A funeral mass will be held Monday, April 29th at 10am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 440 E. Elliot Road. Gilbert, AZ 85234

Following the mass will go to Brittany's final resting place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1562 E. Baseline Road Mesa, AZ 85204

Hello a few of us are helping Chelsea and her family raise money for funeral costs. Brittany unexpectedly passed very young. Unfortunately, life insurance was in process but not fully completed. Chelsea is using every favor and discount possible; but, the funeral is roughly $10k, caskets are around $2k-5k, cemetery fees are about $4k-5k, and headstones can be $4k-8k. Any help is appreciated. If there are any extra funds, those will be invested for Mila to use when she grows up.

My sister, Brittany is an amazing person.

She is smart and crafty and loyal to her friends and family. She loved her daughter, Mila more than anything else in this world. She was born to become a mother! Mila was her world.

While my sister and I didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of things. She is my sister.

As a devoted Catholic she always had prayers and crafts for others. While I don’t share her beliefs, I’m sure she is in heaven with her god, her little dog Layla who passed away last year and our Daddy. She can look down from Heaven and see her daughter, Mila every day now. That’s really all she ever wanted.

Unfortunately she succumbed to the final symptom of her depression last night. She lost her battle with alcoholism. Her little body, just could not take the sadness of being away from her daughter. Her heart just gave out and she passed away at home in bed.

The truth is that we were Black and White, but more like a Black and White cookie. We still shared the same upbringing and home. We grew up together and then changed at the surface. I loved her. I do love her. My one and only sister. My Briiiinnnneeeee. You’re free now.

Shine on the rest of us and just enjoy your freedom!
