Chef Manny Needs Our Help With Emergency Vet Bills
Donation protected
Hi, we are Arthur and Ruthie of "Team Smoky" (neighbors, friends, and dog lovers) and we're putting together a fundraiser for Chef Manny of Market House Meats.
His dear seven-year-old pup, Luna, experienced a medical emergency on the evening of Wednesday, December 6th that has resulted in serious mobility issues that require a costly six-to-eight-week stay at a vet hospital, with rehabilitation and potential surgery on the horizon.
If you've ever been to Seattle's Denny Triangle neighborhood, chances are that you've noticed Market House Meats. It's one of those priceless Old Seattle gems with a spirit that's remained true to itself throughout generations.

And if you've been there, chances are Manny took your order once or made you a Reuben and you still think about it. If you've been there twice, chances are that Manny remembers you.
But if you've ever been to Market House Meets with your pup, it's a sure thing that Manny treated your special friend like his own baby, sharing his love and a little nibble of corned beef.

Needless to say, many of the neighborhood dogs are big fans of Chef Manny. He has the biggest heart and so generously treats each dog as his own, spoiling them with treats and affection. As neighbors and fellow dog lovers, our daily lives are enriched by his kindness, to say the least.
So it broke our hearts to learn that Chef Manny's own little baby, Luna - a Pomeranian mix - suddenly became paralyzed for reasons her vets are still trying to understand.
So we decided to send outreach to Chef Manny's community. During this time of year, tragedy too often strikes and we don't want him to be burdened with such expenses on top of the suffering he must feel for Luna's pain.

Thankfully, Luna is currently at a vet hospital in Everett under around-the-clock care and comfort. However, the care Luna needs right now is expensive. Chef Manny's vet bills for just Luna's preliminary care will be $4,000.
An anonymous donor has already donated $1,000, so we the neighbors are hoping to help Chef Manny raise at least the other $3,000 for Luna's current need for urgent veterinary care and comfort. And see how far we can go from there!
We'd love to see a return of appreciation to Manny for all that he does. To lift his heart and sponsor Luna's road to recovery.
