Help Chef K’s Family Recover from Flood Damage

We are students at McQueen high school in Reno, Nevada and we want to fundraise for Chef K, a teacher who has inspired many in the 11 years that he’s been teaching. Not only does Chef K own his own catering business, but he also is a high school culinary teacher who shows dedication to his students every day. Chef K makes it clear that he doesn’t teach because he needs to, he teaches because he loves to. When the heavy rain storms hit the Hawaiian islands, Chef’s family was impacted significantly. For the past months, they’ve been dealing with severe water damage and flooding, all while grieving the death of their beloved uncle. This money won’t just go to Chef K and his family, but also to other families that have been impacted by these storms. Chef K has told us about his plans to give back to the community as a whole, rather than just himself and his own family. For many, Hawai’i is a place for vacation and relaxing, somewhere temporary. For Chef K, his family, and all the families who live on the islands, it’s their home.
Please help us to give back to the teacher that has been so special to us for the last few years. Weather he’s giving us candy during lunch, teaching us how to cook our favorite foods, or telling us about his time growing up in Hawaii, he has proved to us how much he loves us as well as his home and deserves these donations to help relieve his family.
