Our beloved friend and local chef Jake Rojas needs our help. Many of you know Jake for his incredible talent in the kitchen, his generosity, and his infectious smile. But behind that smile is a man fighting the hardest battle of his life — while also being a devoted father to his two beautiful children.

Jake was recently diagnosed with metastatic cancer that began in his thyroid and has since spread to his throat. He is currently undergoing intense chemotherapy and radiation treatments, which is leaving him weak and exhausted. The radiation, while necessary, is heartbreakingly robbing him of his sense of taste — something vital not only to his passion but to his livelihood as a chef.

Despite unimaginable challenges, he continues to focus on staying strong, hopeful, and present for his kids.

But Jake cannot do this alone.

He needs our community now more than ever.
