Hello everyone,
My name is chef Henry, and I’m from Jamaica. Just days ago, Hurricane Melissa, a catastrophic Category 5 storm, tore through the country, leaving behind unimaginable devastation.
Homes have been destroyed, communities flooded, and thousands are now without electricity, food, clean water, or shelter. My own home was severely damaged, but even in the midst of my personal loss, I can’t ignore the pain around me — people crying out for help, children hungry, and families trying to survive the night with nothing to eat.
⸻
Why I Started This GoFundMe
The need is overwhelming, and government or international help will take time to reach everyone. Until then, many are going days without a proper meal.
This fundraiser is my way of taking action — to provide hot meals, clean water, and basic supplies to those hit hardest across Jamaica.
I’ll be preparing and distributing meals directly to those affected, focusing especially on:
The homeless and elderly who have no access to food
Families with children struggling to feed their little ones
Communities cut off from access to shops, power, or water
Anyone displaced and waiting for official relief efforts
⸻
How Funds Will Be Used
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
• Purchasing food, water, and cooking supplies
• Setting up temporary cooking and meal distribution points
• Buying gas/fuel to prepare meals safely
• Providing basic hygiene items and drinking water
• Expanding outreach to reach rural or cut-off communities
As funds allow, I’ll post updates, photos, and short clips of meal distributions so donors can see the impact firsthand.

How You Can Help
You don’t have to be in Jamaica to make a difference.
❤️ $5 can feed one person for a day
❤️ $20 can feed a small family
❤️ $100 can help feed dozens of people in a shelter
Every contribution, share, and prayer helps bring relief and hope to someone who has lost everything.
