Help Chef Heal and Rebuild

Story

As many of you know, our dear friend and leader of the Swole Fam, Chef, suffered a major injury to his right arm. What was first thought to be a broken bone is actually something much more serious. Chef is a loving husband and father to a beautiful 1.5 year old baby girl. He makes his living helping people achieve their fitness goals as a full time personal trainer, body builder, and nutrition enthusiast. In addition, he is a challenge run streamer, and above all, a good friend to all of us. He is now facing the ultimate challenge run and he can't do this one alone. On top of the forearm and elbow fractures, the triceps in his right arm have completely torn off the bone. There are no attachments anywhere. This has left him unable to work, unable to lift his right arm at all without blinding pain. In addition to the physical toll this has taken, mentally and emotionally, it is just as hard. As fitness being his career and biggest passion, along with not getting the mental health benefits of working out, you can imagine how down, depressed and hopeless he must feel. Unfortunately with the healthcare system being the way it is, the surgery that he needs is an out of pocket expense as he has no health insurance. The surgery was estimated to cost $62,103.93. He has found a hospital to do it for roughly $18,000 however he still needs to pay bills, for PT, medications, etc. etc. Lets push this number to $25,000 and get him as much help as we possibly can. Without the ability to work, this is completely unrealistic which is why the Swole Fam is coming together to help raise as much of this cost as we are able.
