Help Chef Charlie Rebuild After Devastating Fire

Donation protected
Our beloved Chef and dearest friend has faced devastating loss of house and home. His homestead suffered complete melt down after an electrical fire blazed hot and fast! Grabbing his beloved pups, Buck and Blondie, he was able to exit quickly. However, when trying to run back in for his wallet, computer, and other essentials, the black smoke halted him quick! Fortunately, local firefighters were able to stop the fire from turning into a blazing wild-fire, but in the end....Charlie has completely lost his home. All of his belonging, gone, including precious artwork from his patronized father who traveled the world on commission. Gone.

The devastation has followed suit with the reality that Chef Charlie was without fire insurance, like so many Californians. So, his recuperation from the loss has been made even more painful. Spending the first week following the fire on the vineyard in our hotel and Airbnb, now Charlie is looking for permanent residence for both himself and his furry pals.

We are calling on all of our community and Charlie's dear friends, to help pitch in. We want our sweet Chef to feel settled and find a new place to live right here in Paso Robles, California. No amount of money can really replace "home" and all of the memories lost, but we know that pulling all of us together will make him feel loved during this awful time.

In Charlie's own words:
"Hmm. Where to start? I’ll start with I’m healthy happy and alive and for those that know them my furry companions Buck and his daughter Blondie are good as well. On April 22nd my home of 6+ years burnt down. I was home but came out unscathed minus a little burn frizzed hair and a sooty face. It was a windy day so the fire department did their best. I’m thankful for them. I’m sharing this mainly because I don’t want anyone to over worry hearing it through our community grapevine. The mere thought of something happening like this never dawned on me. Took a week just to get past the shock of it. But in my Crazy style I still worked and entertained our guests and shared the food I love making. I’m glad to have been busy as the normalcy was definitely needed. Here’s some pics to share. I’m moving forward and doing my best to diligently rebuild.
I’m just happy to be alive." - Chef Charlie

Thank you in advance for helping this kind soul out! He has always been a kind heart looking to help others and extend compassion and assistance wherever possible. Let's show him that same love and pay it forward!!! xoxoxo
