Help Chef Ashley
Donation protected
My name is Heather and I have been one of Ashley's best friends for nearly 15 years. She is a well accomplished chef, who has even competed on Food Network's Chopped, and currently works under Chef Christopher at the Wrigley Mansion.
On Saturday, Ashley was admitted in the hospital after fighting a week of what was presumed to be a sinus infection. She had been to the doctor twice because she was so ill and they gave her medication, but had no idea how severe it would turn out to be. When she was unable to move on Saturday, her boyfriend (Steven) had no other choice but to call an ambulance. She is now in the neurological unit fighting what her doctors believe to be viral meningitis.
We have no idea how long she will remain here as her recovery could take anywhere from days to weeks. She is in a medically induced coma until the medications take effect and she starts to respond to commands as well as show signs of voluntary movement. She is on a ventilator to keep her airway clear and help her breathe.
Anyone who knows Ashley, would tell you she is the strongest person they know. She is a fighter and a badass and she keeps up with or just plain outruns the big boys. It is incredibly painful to see her like this, but the least we can do is ease the financial burden that is sure to follow. If you can contribute, please donate. Anything will help! This is my friend, she is probably yours too. You may call her Chef, but we all know she is always so much more than that to those she works with.
HELP Chef Ashley! Pray for her, donate, send positive vibes, offer support for after. She will need her people when all is said and done!
