Hi my name is Michelle, yesterday, my husband found Cheeto abandoned in a warehouse area of Carson. He was there for hours and wouldn’t leave, I’m almost like he was waiting for his owners to come back for him. AJ brought straight home where I washed him. He was covered in fleas, upon inspection, we found that he was infested with ticks as well. We safely removed all the ticks off of him. as you could see he is beyond malnourished and he’s been out there for a very long time. He didn’t eat yesterday and today he woke up vomiting. I took him to a local vet and we are having a Lyme disease test ran on him, also the vet gave him medication for his upset tummy, some stimulant, so that he will eat, and gave him fluids. We are trying to get him back to a healthy loving pup! But with that, cost money. Recently, our cat had to have an emergency specialty surgery that put us back a pretty penny. It’s called a “PU” surgery. And also we are getting ready for our wedding in May and honeymoon after that! But as you can imagine that has put us back as well.
When I took Cheeto to the vet today I had two options. The first option was the cheaper option which was a little shy of $800 and the second was option 1 and option 2 combined which was going to be about $1200. That included blood test to make sure we aren’t missed anything. I opted out for the blood test for right now and went with option one (the cheaper option) but I know eventually we are going to have to get these blood test to make sure he’s OK in the future. For now we’re just trying to stabilize him as best as we can. And hope that the Lyme disease test comes back negative and he’s just having minor tummy problems from not eating for so long
Any help would be much appreciated! We love animals so much, and we do plan on keeping him! We just need a little help to get him back on his feet and healthy! Thank you again for your time!

in the past couple of days I was able to link up with a local rescue for help. We ended up taking Cheeto to her Vet for a second opinion as to why he’s still not eating. When the doctor was doing her physical exam, she felt something that felt like a rock in his intestine! About the size of a quarter. It was hard and round.. We did an x-ray, but it didn’t show up on the x-ray which means it’s probably plastic. Poor baby was eating anything to feel “full” Today Cheeto is set up for surgery to remove the blockage at 8am.
As you can see we are still short on funding for his surgery I’ve attached all the receipts and estimate for the surgery that me and Tessa dog rescue have paid for.
please share this post! Blow this up! And help save this little baby
