Hi there! My name is Molly. I met Cheesecake on March 10th during her stay in ICU at Pima Animal Care Center. She had been brought in for a suspected head trauma. Cheesecake is completely paralyzed. The staff at the care center couldn’t tell me when or if she would ever walk again and told me that euthanasia was a possibility. So I decided to bring Cheesecake home with me and give her the very best for whatever amount of time she had left. In the month that I’ve had her, she’s made huge improvements. She can get herself into a seated position(for a few seconds) and has increased mobility in all of her limbs. She was even gifted a sweet set of wheels for her journey. Cheesy has even been getting acupuncture which is definitely helping her nerves! Cheesecake gets along so well with the resident wiener dogs and even tolerates the cats! It’s time to get Cheese to her forever home. We have a wonderful potential adopter who works with special needs kiddos and wants to train Cheese as a therapy dog! The only
