Hi everyone. My name is Ariel. My beautiful boy is named Cheese. He was attacked for the second time on Saturday at my parents house while walking in my parents front yard. This dog who attacked him the first time 3 to almost 4 years ago, was a foster from the Broward county care and adoption center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After talking to the staff there and notifying them of the first attack that almost took my baby’s life, they STILL allowed the family to adopt the dog permanently.

If this dog was never adopted and placed in the wrong hands of someone so negligent to not know the needs of an aggressive baby, we would not be sitting here right now with my dog, almost dead and fighting for his life.

This GoFundMe has been started to pay for all the medical bills that my parents have started to pay for and are so generous to continue to handle. 

So far we’re already at $2,000. He is receiving therapy for his leg that is completely swollen and he’s having a hard time walking or doing anything currently. He will continue to get therapy at least five times a week to make sure his leg will be OK for the future. Otherwise my baby is in good spirits, has SOO much support behind him and doing very well considering.

As for the other dog in this situation, unfortunately, as self-defense works, my father took matters into his own hands, as any parent would. That poor dog unfortunately had to pay for the negligence of a dumb owner who didn’t care enough to take care of their own baby. She was in her yard with no leash or no lead. This is why the family has been cited by the city and my family has not.

Our story has been picked up by a few news channels and will continue to have some traction because this will not slide.
