Hello,
My name is Cheech. My mom had rescued me down in Carbondale in 2013 after I was going to be put up for free on craigslist. I’ve spent the majority of my life sun bathing, playing, cuddling and watching my mom have four human babies. Recently, I started to have pain in my right front leg. My mom took me straight away to the doctor after she noticed me limping. The pain ended up being in my shoulder and after x rays and a fine needle aspirate, the doc figured I have osteosarcoma but I needed further testing. Treatment right now is pain medications and restricted activity. I just recently had my recheck x-rays and there was no improvement. I also had an abdominal ultrasound done but unfortunately (and thankfully) there were no other answers for my leg pain. My diagnosis was humeral disease. If things don’t improve with my recheck x-rays next week then the doc said they will need to amputate my front right leg. I just recently got a bone biopsy done but the bone was too hard which indicates this can be something else. My mom is pretty worried and so am I but I must be strong for her. I overheard my mom saying that my vet bills have started to become pretty costly. I’ve already overheard countless conversations between my mom and adopted dad about “bills” and “mortgage”. I am hoping that the kind hearts of other fur moms and dads could lend a helping paw, I mean hand, in order to cover my medical bills in the coming weeks. We are now waiting for results from a blasto test that has been sent out while I went for my biopsy. I truly appreciate it. "One Love, One Heart, Let's Get Together and Feel Alright"
