Cheddar is new to our family, but he’s already made a huge impact on our hearts. He found us during the cold, rainy weather, sneaking inside for warmth and comfort. Since then, he hasn’t wanted to go back outside, and he’s become best friends with our other cat, Franklin. Their playful tumbles and thuds fill our home with laughter, and Cheddar’s gentle, social nature makes him a friend to everyone who visits.

On Sunday, January 11th, during the Buffalo Bills vs Jacksonville Jaguars game, Cheddar needed emergency surgery. While he’s been walking around his enclosure since, he hasn’t been eating, and just as we were ready to bring him home, he spiked a fever. Blood tests revealed bacteria in his blood, possibly early signs of sepsis. The vet hospital bills are quickly becoming overwhelming, and we’re doing everything we can to give Cheddar the care he needs.

Cheddar is a gentle giant who loves to snuggle, play, and eat. He’s only four or five years young and deserves a full, happy life ahead of him. Right now, he’s alone in an unfamiliar place, sick and likely scared. We want to provide the best support for him, and we don’t want cost to stand in the way. Any support—big or small—will help us cover his vet bills, medication, and ongoing care. Thank you for being part of this amazing community and for helping Cheddar heal.
