Greetings Everyone,
My fellow co-worker Chayla and her significant other recently took the big step of purchasing their first home together with some land out in the country. Unfortunately, they were affected by the high winds and wildfires in Cleveland, OK, on Friday, March 14th. After work, they both were granted access to their property to let their animals out and to grab whatever they could. Chayla, having a huge heart for animals, set her horses and goat free, and then they packed up the cats and dogs into their vehicles. Before they knew it, here came the fire department escorting them out as fire was approaching their property. They were unable to get any of their clothes, personal belongings, or smaller pets out of the house.
They were finally cleared to return to their property on Saturday, March 15th, and as feared, their home was burnt to the foundation and they lost everything they own except vehicles, pets in the vehicles, and clothes on their backs. The Red Cross has helped with a few basic necessities, but they are at a complete loss, having to stay at a friend's house until the insurance company does their thing and praying they are able to get a replacement home started. But we all know how slow this process is, so anything you can do to help would help them during this rough time in their lives to help them get back on their feet.
Thank you sincerely for anything you donate!!
