Help Chavez Family Find a New Home

On April 6, my building had faced an 8 alarm fire. It has caused many of us to lose our homes. I'm so thankful that no one got severely hurt. I have lived in this building since the day I left the hospital and it hurts that I have to leave my home in this way. This is something that happened so unexpectedly and we were not in any way prepared for this.

We also have an aunt and cousin who lived on 89-07 and were affected by this fire more than us. She unfortunately won't be able to retrieve her items any time soon. Our side was 89-11 and our apartment was on the fifth floor and we may have had some water damage due to the ceiling in the 6th floor being knocked down.

We have come to terms that we need to find a new place to stay. The Red Cross was able to give us a hotel til Tuesday afternoon. We will need to find a new home and to be able to pay rent. The money will help us get back on our feet and hopefully go back to normal. Any help is greatly appreciated.
