Chatterbox, whom we lovingly call Geveze in Turkish, is one of our rescued street cats. Only three years old and full of personality, he recently began showing serious neurological symptoms. He loses his balance, struggles to run, and sometimes cannot find his direction.

After veterinary examinations, neuro-FIP is strongly suspected. Without treatment, this disease is almost always fatal. But with the right medication, many cats can recover.

His treatment will last 84 days.

Estimated costs

• GS medication: $90 per vial

• He needs 1 vial every 3 days → about 28 vials

• Medication total: ~$2,520

Additional medical care:

• Blood tests every two weeks: $150 × 6 = $900

• Liver support food and immune supplements: $250/month × 3 months = $750

Our veterinarian is kindly providing the daily injections for free, which saves a significant amount. Still, the medication and monitoring costs are more than we can cover alone.

Chatterbox grew up on the street but never lost his spirit. He talks constantly, which is how he got his name Geveze — our little Chatterbox.
