Help Chasity with replacing Insulin Pump after car accident.
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out because I'm in a tough spot and could really use your help.
I was recently in a car accident that left me with neck and shoulder injuries, bruises, and-on top of all that—my insulin pump was completely destroyed.( photos below)
As someone with type 1 diabetes for 27 years, I rely on my pump every single day to stay healthy. I've been fortunate to get a loaner pump for now, but it's only temporary (60 days- 1/18/25 is due date). Even with insurance, the cost of replacing my pump is overwhelming. When I had to switch to manual injections while waiting for the loaner, my blood sugars skyrocketed, putting me at serious risk for
hospitalization and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).
I'm asking for help to cover the cost of a new pump (and my next 90 days of supplies) so I can manage my diabetes safely and avoid further health complications.
Any amount, no matter how small, would mean the world to me. If you can't donate, sharing this would help just as much.
Thank you for reading and for any support you can offer-I'm so grateful.
Chasity
