For those of you who know my son Chase Bulten you know his passion for long distance running. Chase has always been determined, passionate, and disciplined for his running. Chase has been diagnosed with severe PTSD. This silent disease has turned his life upside down. Chase has been to ER 7 times since January. And 3 inpatient cares for it. Currently unable to walk due to episodes. Walking is a trigger. These PTSD spells (often called dissociative spells or non-epileptic attacks) are seizures with PTSD flashbacks. These visits alone has disrupted his head coach position. Episodes are becoming more frequent and more severe. And disabilitating. The worst seizure early this past week when he finished his 2nd time running the Boston Marathon. He was transported to Tufts Medical Hospital where is is currently and left unable to walk even with the help of a walker. We need to help my son Chase get the intensive treatment he needs which will be PT, OT, and Neurological PT. Chase deserves to live a life he once loved! And to get him back home with his emotional support dog Reeses! His goal is to get back to good health so he can walk his dog, coach again, and when he heals start running so he can qualify for the Olympic trials in the Marathon.
PTSD from Emotional abuse, near deaths, narcissistic, emotional, sexual, multiple physical assaults, workplace mistreatment, forced into his first sexual experience & other experiences without having the ability to consent or protect himself (rapes). Among other experiences that have brought him to his breaking point.
