Help Chase and Danielle Rebuild After Moving Truck Stolen
Donation protected
My name is Cara and I am creating this fund to help my brother and sister in law who had their moving truck stolen while moving from Michigan to Arizona. It had all of their belongings and now they have to rebuild their lives in a new city. Chase is a Chaplin in the Air Force and has been working in ministry for over 10 years. I know money will never bring back sentimental items, like his favorite vintage Dolphins jersey or mementos from their wedding or Navy items from our late grandfather, but I hope it will help them get back on their feet.
This is a Facebook post he made a few days ago "April 25th was one of the worst days in my life. At 3:24am, our Penske moving truck was stolen from the hotel parking lot in Albuquerque, NM. In a moment, the majority of our belongings have vanished.
We have reached out and filed a police report. We have contacted Penske, who seems to not have any urgency for their own asset. Spoken to the main line, roadside assistance, Penske - Tucson, Penske - Albuquerque. It has taken until 3:00pm for anyone in Penske to try and ping where their own asset is. Almost 10 hours after their asset was reported as stolen.
What should have been a big happy day for our family as we filled our new home, now that moment has been literally stolen from us.
We’re thankful that we are safe, that Danielle’s parents are safe and here to help. We are also thankful our homeowners insurance is able to cover our belongings after we put in work (and I mean WORK) to itemize every item and provide supporting documents. Imagine doing that after 10 years of marriage and multiple moves!
Alas, we’re alive in Tucson. Truly ready for an all new adventure in military chaplaincy."
Thank you for your generosity and good will.
