Help Chas and Theresa make their house habitable again after the devastating Lismore floods.

Hi all! Asking for assistance for the ones who won’t ask for themselves. I know everyone needs help, but the quiet ones can slip by unnoticed in times like these.

Our most beloved darlings Chas (Glover) and Theresa live in South Lismore and their house went alllll the way under.

Everything is lost.

A few scraps may be able to be put back together, but their entire lives have been dragged out into the pile of rubbish.

I have been friends with Chas for 32 years and Theresa at least a decade. They will silently help everyone that needs it but not ask for help themselves.

For those of you that know and love Chas and Theresa, you know what the house contained. Decades of art work by the prolific Chas Glover and all art equipment, treasures from a lifetime of love, all of the guitars, amps, other instruments that allow them to perform their music for you, all of Theresa’s technology that allows her to do her incredible social work, not to mention every personal item from their lives.

The house is gutted and most items can not be replaced, but I am hoping we can get some money together for the following so they can at least be in the house & try to rebuild:

•Electrical work

•hot water tank

•general structural safety repairs

•fridge

•mattress

•tech for Theresa’s essential work

•if we do well, an amplifier so they can play music again!

•any of the other million things they need

That’s just the bare minimum of what they need, just to get back into the house to start the long traumatic process of rebuilding their lives.

As I am sure you have all seen, the flooding in Lismore has been catastrophic for everyone.

The lived experience of the people here is nothing short of devastating and the trauma is palpable.

The only thing we all have is each other. ❤️
