Our hearts go out to the affected families who lost their belongings and loved ones during the recent tragedy of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.
I am Monica Parker, the daughter of Charmaine Campbell, whose house was damaged during Hurricane Melissa. We are from a community in the parish of St. Elizabeth called Barbary Hall, one of the most affected parishes in Jamaica. During the hurricane, my mother had to seek shelter at our neighbor's house because her roof was blown off. After the hurricane, she went back home just to see all the destruction that had taken place at our family home. Everything we had and owned was lost during the hurricane. We are without clothes, food, or a roof over our heads, and I'm here just seeking donations to help my mother as best as I can. Any donation received will be used to buy lumber and supplies to repair my mom's home. Any bit of donations count, and please keep us all in your prayers.
