Hello, my name is Charmaine. I am 54 years old, a mother of three, and a proud grandmother of two. Earlier this year, I began experiencing severe hip and leg pain. At first, I thought it might be something minor, but the pain only got worse. In February, I went to the emergency room and learned I had lytic lesions in my spine. Soon after, I discovered a lump in my breast that grew rapidly. After many tests and biopsies, I received the devastating news: I have stage 4 HER2 positive metastatic breast cancer that has spread to my lymph nodes and bones.

Since my diagnosis, I have had to stop working. My family has been incredible, helping me with car payments and bills, but the financial strain is overwhelming. I have faced difficult reactions to treatments, and now my doctors are searching for new options because one of the drugs is affecting my heart. Through it all, I hold onto my faith and the love of my family.

I am asking for help with two wishes. First, I want to make sure my children are not left with the burden of funeral expenses, as I cannot afford life insurance due to my diagnosis. Second, I dream of taking a trip with my children and grandchildren—renting an RV and going to Disney World to create joyful memories together.
