Hi everyone,

My name is Charmaine, and I’m writing this from a hospital bed near Naples, Italy. While my partner Adam and I were vacationing in Europe, we got into a scooter accident on Oct 22 along the Amalfi Coast. I suffered a fractured pelvis and must stay immobilized for 30 days while it heals.

Adam has been my rock through all of this, advocating for me, handling endless calls with insurance and the Canadian Embassy, and covering all the costs upfront. He’s missed his best friend’s baby’s baptism, where he was meant to be godparent, just to stay by my side.

He doesn’t want me to ask for help, but I’m doing this to protect him and us, because no one should have to shoulder this alone. The funds will go toward emergency transport, accommodation, daily commute to & from hospital and logistics to help us safely return to Canada.
