On Dec.20 at 11 days old Charlotte was taken to the pediatrician because we thought she was having congestion issues. She was wheezing and kept choking on her bottle, and had spit up come out of her nose twice. They tested her for covid, flu, and RSV but they all came back negative, however when they checked her heart rate it was 222. They sent us to the ER and her heart rate was actually 300+ and she's been diagnosed with SVT. They tried to bring it down by shocking her body with ice and giving her Adenosine but it wasn't working. After multiple failed IV attempts they put in a central line. Once they got her on a Ketamine drip she stabilized but due to her condition we were life flighted to Orlando on Dec.21. Her father drove 6 hours to meet us here. The reason I've started this GoFundMe is because we aren't sure how long we will be here. Theyre going to have an electrophysiologist come and access her and try to get her started on an oral medication to keep her SVT under control but it might take awhile to find something that works for her. Her father, our only income, will be out of work until further notice. We were already a bit behind on bills but now we are drowning financially and not sure what we are going to do. We don't know how long we will be here and all of the expenses with being here like gas, food, hygiene ect. are adding up very quickly. I hate to ask for money but we are currently at a loss trying to figure everything out. Anything helps. Thank you.
