Help Charlotte THRASH breast cancer!
Donation protected
New update! She rang the bell, y'all!
In case you missed it a couple weeks ago on social media, Charlotte proudly rang the end-of-chemo bell. We couldn't be happier for her in reaching this important milestone in her treatment, on what was an exhausting journey.
But folks, she's still fighting.
Although she's done with chemo, Charlotte will probably still need radiation and another operation (or a few more, depending how it goes). And of course this means the bills keep piling up. Charlotte had to have treatment at two different hospitals, which means two monthly payments to cover while the balances keep climbing.
I'm writing this update to celebrate Charlotte's victory over chemo, but also to ask you to keep supporting her however you can! Maybe it's a fresh donation to this campaign. Maybe it's a share on your social media so your friends and family can chip in. Maybe it's you sending Charlotte a Doordash gift card so she doesn't have to cook for the fam!
Whatever you are called to do, know that Charlotte is indescribably grateful for it. She told me "I'm so indebted to everyone who has helped." But we know she'd do it for all of us, in a heartbeat.
Thanks to all of you for helping Charlotte, Charles and the boys on this journey. It's much easier to fight a battle when you have an army of warriors with big hearts at your side. ❤️

Charlotte is one of my oldest and dearest friends, a soul sister if ever one existed. So when I heard her news, that she'd been diagnosed with invasive lobular breast cancer, I asked what I could do to help, and suggested a Go Fund Me. Being Charlotte, she agreed but VERY begrudgingly. (You know her mama raised her not to take charity!) But the thing that convinced her was finding out that her out-of-pocket expenses, after you count the cost of treatment, drug therapy, and the childcare support she's going to need, could end up in the TENS of thousands of dollars. And unfortunately, after being hit with a MAJOR home disaster this year that depleted their savings, Charlotte and Charles are struggling to figure out how they're going to manage all this financially. It's added stress she just doesn't need as she fights this battle. But we can help!
To be specific, Charlotte has been diagnosed with what's known as "triple-positive breast cancer" (ER + PR+ HER). This will mean double mastectomies and reconstruction, chemo, endocrine therapy, and years of continued care and treatment. The great news is that the cancer was caught early and doctors don't think it's spread to the lymph nodes - so the prognosis is VERY positive!
And if you know Charlotte at all, I'm sure you're as devastated as I am. It seems unthinkable that something so difficult should happen to someone who basically a ray of light in human form. Charlotte's a true Southern lady - smart, beautiful, charming, funny, light as a spring breeze yet strong as an oak tree. And like any proper Southern lady, with our help, she's going to fight this awful disease into submission with all the grace of a ballerina, and all the ferocity of a lion.
If you can, please consider donating to help Charlotte, Charles, Colin and Alistair get through this long battle. Any amount helps!
Oh, and gals - get your mammograms! Charlotte's may have saved her life.
We've all been the beneficiaries of Charlotte's love and light through the years. Time to pay it back, my friends :)
