Help Charlotte Run Again: Knee Surgery
Donation protected
Lady Charlotte Rose is my only child...a sweet, beautiful, playful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is suffering from Bilateral Patella Luxation (dislocated kneecaps.) For the last year, she's been struggling with one knee, and now, a week before her 2nd birthday, her other knee is giving out.
Her right knee is permanently out of place (a Grade 4 out of 4) and now her left kneecap pops in and out (Grade 3). She has been very reluctant to move around as her legs can be unstable, and she spends most of her time laying in bed or wants me to hold her. Charlotte is such an active little girl, and normally loves running and playing fetch. It's breaking my heart to see her in so much agony.
I didn't have the money last year to operate on her right knee, and am more stressed and worried than ever, now that both knees are weak and hurting. The surgeon recommends we operate on her left knee asap as it's giving her the most problems. As of August 14th, I just booked surgery for September 5.
I am very hopeful and praying for some funds from the community, and any dog-lovers, to help pay for her complex knee surgery. Your donation matters, big or small, every dollar counts. She'll be back to sprinting, playing, and being her lovable self by Christmas.
