Hi, my name is Charlotte.
I am a set designer and creative director based in Brighton, UK.
In Spring 2026, I hope to showcase an interactive week-long exhibition based around the themes of wonderlands, expressive artistic freedom and the loneliness of the human psyche. The exhibition will be held within the city, venue TBC. This would be a free-entry exhibition, and all materials and venue hire will be self-funded with the help of donations (GoFundMe).
As an interactive exhibition, I'm excited to bring new worlds to life. The centrepiece of the exhibition will be a brain-like tent structure which participants would be able to enter, with the inside covered with hundreds of mirrors as well as a giant eyeball staring up at you from below, exploring how we intensely over-analyse ourselves, and commenting on the obscurity and potential consequences of modern self-help trends during our increasingly surveillanced lives. Is there such a thing as looking too far inside your own mind?
I wish to bring my skills as a set designer to create mini sets and scenes that people will be invited to interact with, a place to reflect, but overall enjoy. I love maximising the use of colours and textures in all art I create - go bold or go home!
If you can't donate (which is completely fine!!), please feel free to share this page with friends/colleagues, or anyone who you think may want to support the Brighton local art scene.
Please follow my Instagram: @charlotteelizabet for updates on when and where the exhibition will be held. I hope to see you there. :)
Thank you
Charlotte
