Charlotte Diaz is a 14-year-old freshman at Turlock Pittman High School, and she’s been passionate about soccer since she could walk. Inspired by her big sister, Charlotte has played for Turlock’s two biggest soccer leagues, Turlock Tornadoes and Academica of Turlock, as well as Modesto Ajax. She’s now a key player on the Academica Juniors competitive team. Charlotte is known for her spirited attitude, deep understanding of the game, and the strong friendships she’s built both on and off the field. Growing up in Turlock, she’s connected to families and friends across neighboring cities like Hughson, Denair, Hilmar, Ceres, Modesto, Newman, and Paterson. Our family is active in our Catholic parish, Our Lady of the Assumption, and Charlotte is currently attending catechism to complete her Confirmation Sacrament. We’re so proud of her dedication—she maintains a 3.8 GPA while balancing school, soccer, and her faith. She also loves cheering on the San Jose Earthquakes with family and friends at PayPal Park.
Charlotte has been given an incredible opportunity: she’s been selected to play in the Gothia Cup in Denmark, one of the world’s most prestigious youth soccer tournaments. To prepare, we’re traveling back and forth to Vacaville, a two-hour drive each way, for team practices. The costs for this journey are significant, including airfare, room and board, training, and meals for a month-long stay in July 2026. We’re hoping to raise enough to cover Charlotte’s expenses so she can focus on her dream, and also help her mother travel with her for support—otherwise, Charlotte will have to travel alone with the team. Having a parent there would mean the world to her and to us.

With all sincerity, we, Benny & Barbara Diaz, are asking for any donation you might be willing to give—every penny counts. We completely appreciate and respect everyone’s contribution, and as a family, we want to thank you for any amount you give. This would really make a difference in our daughter’s life, not just for the adventure but also for the moral understanding of seeing her community support her, inspiring her to give back in the future. Thank you for passing this message along.
