Charlotte is a trans woman from Germany who needs facial feminization surgery, or FFS for short. She's been on HRT for several years now and has all her legal documents changed to her real name. Now Charlotte is at that point of her transition where surgery is the only way forward.

She desperately needs this surgery as she's experiencing facial dysphoria every time she looks in the mirror. On top of that, Charlotte struggles with depression, ADHD, and cPTSD, making life a daily battle.

"I just want to get up in the morning, look into the mirror and see myself and not the damage that testosterone has done to my body," Charlotte says.

Charlotte consulted with a clinic in Spain, which gave her a price tag of 31010€ for all the procedures she needs. This sum doesn't include travel expenses and accommodations. German health insurance doesn't pay for it, and there is no way she will be able to afford it any time soon, or ever. Charlotte has a job, but she's not making massive amounts of money. That leaves crowdfunding the only possibility for her to afford the procedure and finally feel like herself.
