My name is Angie, mum and carer of Charlotte who is 30. Charlotte is a non-verbal young woman with complex needs who experiences the world deeply through movement, nature, sound, wind, texture, and outdoor sensory experiences.

She absolutely loves being outside — the sea air, woodland paths, birds, changing light, movement, and the feeling of freedom that comes from being out in the world rather than confined indoors.

Over the past year, life has changed enormously for both of us. I care for Charlotte full time, and despite many challenges, my priority has always been making sure her life contains joy, stimulation, dignity, adventure, and meaningful experiences — not just basic care and survival.

We are now trying to raise funds for a Mountain Trike E-Push all-terrain wheelchair trike.

This specialist adaptive trike would allow Charlotte to safely access:

beaches

woodland trails

coastal paths

parks

rough terrain inaccessible to her standard wheelchair

The electric power assist would also reduce physical strain on me as her full-time carer, making longer outdoor journeys safer and more sustainable for both of us.

Unfortunately, specialist adaptive equipment like this is extremely expensive and completely beyond our financial reach alone.

The fundraising target includes:
