Hello, As some of you may know, our beloved Charlotte aka Nana was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in March of 2025. If you know Charlotte you know she is such a loving, absolutely selfless, Christ loving woman who would give anything for her family and friends. She’s been such a fighter and she’s continuing to fight!! Nana has been insistent on not going public or asking for help because that’s just who she is, but we’ve come to a pivotal point in her journey. Nana received 2 rounds of chemotherapy treatment which was somewhat successful in decreasing the size of some of the tumors! The treatment yet positive has left her with debilitating and extremely painful neuropathy in her feet, hands and legs along with other cancer related side effects. If you’ve ever had a loved one go through a cancer journey you know how absolutely overwhelming this can be for them and how helpless you feel when you cannot take away the pain. Even through all of this she had remained positive and steadfast in her faith. As many of you know when it comes to health insurance it is notorious for abandoning you when you truly need it the most. She has recently been denied extra care at a facility capable of handling her needs because her insurance won’t pay. You spend your whole life paying in and yet when you need help they make it almost impossible to receive the care you desperately need. As the costs are rising We are seeking with a heavy heart assistance as insurance is wanting to release her from the Sterling Regional MedCenter after 5 days of care to go back home rather than to possibly life saving care at a facility than can appropriately help her rehab. She currently cannot walk, stand, or do many daily tasks needed for simply a safe existence on her own! Our goal is to get her the care she undoubtedly needs! Any help is greatly appreciated!
